The Insurance Company is Not Cooperating

Of course my neighbor Jack knew that this tree was on his side of the property line and so did I, but he really tried to convince me that it was on my side of the line. That was not going to work and it did not work when he told the insurance company either. I did not want to pay for a surveyor, but that was exactly how it worked out. In the end a Suffolk county tree service came and cleaned up the mess, although I could have done it myself if Jack had been telling the truth. Of course I was not going to let him stick it to me like that. If one of my trees had fallen on his land I would have fixed it. In fact I know a guy who would gladly come over and help me if I just let him keep the firewood.

Instead the tree service came and they cut the tree into firewood. My friend would have taken the firewood, but this was the sort of tree that people with fire places love. So these guys were happy to take it and not charge me for it. Obviously if it had been a less valuable type of wood they would have charged me for the stuff. Now I have to get the insurance company to pay for it, but that does not seem as though it is going to happen quickly. Of course in the end they are going to pay for it and they are going to pay for the surveyor as well. They keep on with their nonsense and they will have to pay for a lawyer as well. That seems like it would be a great waste of time and money, but it is up to them.
