Of course my neighbor Jack knew that this tree was on his side of the property line and so did I, but he really tried to convince me that it was on my side of the line. That was not going to work and it did not work when he told the insurance company either. I did not want to pay for a surveyor, but that was exactly how it worked out. In the end a Suffolk county tree service came and cleaned up the mess, although I could have done it myself if Jack had been telling the truth.
